When this page was originally conceived, the thought process was to be a commentary on the current state of politics – good, bad, or indifferent…
Well, it has become blatantly obvious that that things happen way too frequently for me to be able to provide a cohesive and well thought out commentary in a timely fashion and still be able to live my life. While I could continue to do a commentary, it changes every hour and by every tweet and counter tweet.
So I am changing my focus… I will be selecting various topics and commentating on them and how I think as a nation, we can find a unifying understanding. I understand we will always have extreme positions that are so entrenched in their thoughts that there will be no moving them from their positions. However, even with that, theirs are views that you can learn from and have grains that can be used. That is the problem with politics today – what you hear is that if someone has an opinion contrary to ours, they are evil incarnate. Nothing could be further from the truth. If you refuse to listen to what is said, you may lose valuable insight and learning opportunities.
